Salut!
j'ai reçu une mise à jour pour mon DDL (Drivers Daily Log) sur les nouvelles lois USA qui entreront en vigueur le 1er octobre 2005... voici une copie des principales modifications (en anglais malheureusement)
USA 2005 Rules - effective date 01 Oct 2005.
On 19 Aug 2005, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) published the new rules that will be effective 01 Oct 2005. ‘Property carrying’ drivers are affected. Bus and motor coach ,‘People carrying’ drivers will continue to use existing rules (10hr/15hr).
The major provisions of the USA 2005 are the same as the USA 2004. For notes on the USA 2004 rules:
USA 2004 Rules - effective date 04 Jan 2004
The major changes in the rules for USA 2005:
1. Any 8 or more but less than 10 hour Sleeper Berth period ‘excludes’ from 14hr duty period ‘clock’. A simplification.
2. You can ‘split’ your 10+ hours break into two periods – similar to ‘split sleeper’ – but with the following restrictions.
“CMV drivers using the sleeper berth provision must take at least 8 consecutive hours in the sleeper berth, plus 2 consecutive hours either in the sleeper berth, off duty, or any combination of the two.”
Stated another way: You can ‘split’ your 10+ hours break into two periods. One of the breaks must have 8 or more but less then 10 hours of Sleeper Berth, and the other period must be at least 2 hours of consecutive Sleeper Berth and Off Duty in any combination. Notice the 2+ hour ‘break’ can be all ‘Off Duty’.
The 11hr/14hr clock resets to zero at the ‘end of the first period’ of a valid ‘pair’.
3. 34hour restart. Any 34 hours of consecutive Off Duty and/or Sleeper Berth ‘restarts’ the 70hr/8d or 60hr/7d ‘clock’. ‘
Hours Available’ is no longer required before 34 hour clock starts. A simplification.
Pas sur que je comprends très bien... va falloir que je m'informes je crois! en ce qui concerne le split du 10 heures sleeper à savoir si le 11 heures recommence apres le 2e split ou a partir du 1er comme c'était avant!
